Beautiful original oil painting on masonite panel. This is an early work of art by Brabant / Deurne painter Jack Harden (1935-2002).
This artwork was made around 1954, considering the rest of the series. The painting is signed at the bottom right. I got this work directly from the collection of the artist's own daughter.

This is also described by him on the back.

Dimensions: 60 cm x 60 cm without frame.
The artwork is in very good condition.
Viewing is of course possible.

Biography;
Jacobus Antonius Martinus (Jack) Harden (Hoensbroek, 1935 – 2002, Deurne) was a Dutch painter, draftsman, poet and sculptor. When Harden came to live with his uncle and well-known (textile) artist Willi Martinali at the age of nine, just after the Second World War, his interest in art was aroused. Martinali became his teacher and spiritual father. Harden's style is therefore related to that of Martinali, the works executed in materials such as acrylic paint, oil paint and cellulose on masonite board, often provided with philosophical titles.

Harden had his first exhibition at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven at the age of nineteen. Later, in addition to working on panels, he also made murals in all kinds of (public) buildings and for private individuals. He also stimulated emerging artists during their careers. Shortly before his death, after a less successful period, he started drawing again. He regularly provided his paintings with texts on the back, sometimes written in mirror writing. Harden's work has been exhibited many times at home and abroad.
