Originated from the Eerste Steenwijker Kunst Aardewerk Fabriek which was founded in Steenwijk in 1919 and liquidated in 1927. The inventory was bought by ESKAF designer Piet van Ham and Harry Hamming. After that, the business in Huizen was continued on an idealistic basis. They joined the Order of Living Labor (OLA). The employees of the company treated each other as equals. However, due to the economic crisis, the ESKAF eventually went bankrupt in 1935.
In 1934 a continuation followed under the name CV Kunstaardewerkfabriek HaHo (Harry Hamming and Mak Honigh). In 1935, his son Fokke Hamming took over as artistic director and Potterie De Driehoek was founded. This was initially a sales organization for HaHo's products. The name referred to the three partners. In 1970 the name was changed to Potterie Huizen (after having taken over Fris Edam in 1969).
