DESCRIPTION
Figurative expressionist or rather post expresionist work in which the attitude and mimicry of the character were pursued more than the physical details. To make it, multiple brush techniques, painting knife, but also pouring and splashing were used to create special effects.
It is inspired by the ancestral culture and tradition of the Romanian masks used around the winter holidays, but also by the German masks used at traditional carnivals, especially in the rural area of Bayern and Baden Württemberg.
Paintings signed “Gotschik” or “Roland-H. Gotschik ”can be found in private collections in Europe, America and Asia. Their resale value increasing significantly, even after only one year.
