Beautiful colour lithograph on paper (partly glossy), signed and numbered in pencil (153/200) by the Belgian artist Jean Bilquin (1933-2016) who was known for his paintings, sculptures and drawings. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and later became a professor there. Bilquin's work often explored themes such as nature, mythology and human emotion. He had several solo exhibitions, including a major retrospective exhibition at the former Provincial Museum of Modern Art in Ostend in 1999.
