Every Monday evening a Special auction ends focusing on a particular artist or theme. Would you like to participate as a seller? That is possible! You will find more information here.
● Dominic Rouse is an English fine art photographer who began his career as a photojournalist in the mid-1970s. His art is defined by its meticulous attention to detail and a painstaking dedication to the traditional craft of large-format photography. From this unique blend of fine art photography and digital composition emerges an impressive body of skillfully executed works.
● During his years working in advertising (1982-2000) Rouse was known mainly as a still-life studio photographer. 'Dead Man's Hill' is a rare example of his work on location and an early illustration of his use of digital composition.
● 'Dead Man's Hill' is the name of the incline the train is climbing as it approaches the village station of Weybourne in North Norfolk in England. The little steam train is one of the two engines still running on the old Victorian 'Poppy Line' which is maintained by enthusiasts as a tourist attraction for the seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham.
