Arkadiy Kurta - 'The Transgressors' (2016) - Two Prints

● Arkadiy Kurta has the ability to tell powerful stories and create intimate spaces in the middle of the city without the need of gimmickry. His photography is constantly challenging the difficult balance between the beauty of the female form and the ire its depiction arouses amongst the apostles of 'political correctness'. His photographs are a break from the conformity of everyday norms and allow us to see the world through the eyes of an audacious & committed artist.



● Arkadiy Kurta was born in 1977 in Sumy, Ukraine. He graduated from the Kiev School of Photography in 2007 and has been working professionally since 2009. He works in the nude, street and portrait photography fields & has a well-earned reputation for shooting nudes in public spaces. His works are regularly exhibited in Ukraine and he frequently travels to Europe on assignment for magazines such as 'Stern', 'Pentaprism' and 'Shades of Grey' ensuring that his work is constantly evolving.  Arkadiy currently lives and works in Germany.
