- Albert Blitz was born in Utrecht and studied sculpting in Arnhem. He settled in Amsterdam in 1956 where he became a fine art artist. He has made covers, drawings and comic strips for magazines like Metropool and Amsterdams Weekblad, some of which were reprinted in De Groene Amsterdammer. Blitz was the author and lead actor in the 1995 stageplay 'Hela gijbloempje'.
