Information about the artist: Abraham / Abram Kro l (Pabianice, Lodz, Poland, January 22, 1919 – Paris, October 9, 2001), was a Polish/French painter, engraver and graphic artist. -Education: At the age of nineteen, in 1938, he left his native Poland for France. After two years of study at the Technical Institute for Civil Engineering in Caen, he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts d'Avignon. In 1939, at the beginning of World War II, he joined the Foreign Legion. After being demobilized, he became a mechanic in a garage in Avignon.
