Naive Painting

Naive painting is characterized by a naive or childlike way of portraying and using techniques. Naive painting does not examine itself, and thus displays an almost childlike self-evidence. Initially, this painting was a reaction to Romanticism from the eighteenth century. There are several characteristics in this painting, some of which are the use of a missing and confusing perspective, clear areas of color, the high degree of detail and expressionless faces.
