Les Vingt

Les Vingt was a Belgian artist group that emerged from the group L'Essor. They resist the outdated academic and prevailing artistic standards. The lack of program eventually got the group into trouble and it was disbanded. Nevertheless, a new group emerged from Les Vingt, namely La Libre Esthétique, to which most members of Les Vingt rejoined.
