Founded in 1956 - dissolved in 1960
After the dissolution of Art Abstrait in 1956, some old members founded a new movement, Formes. Where in Art Abstrait there was still room for both lyrical and geometric abstraction, Formes focuses on geometric abstraction. In 1960 the movement came to an end, after which most members switched to the more internationally oriented Art Construit movement.
