Ido Vunderink (1935)

Ido was born on May 9, 1935 in Amstelveen, he was educated at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. After the academy he started designing designs with which he twice won the first prize for industrial design. He designed for Liberty in London and several well-known Italian and Dutch companies.

In addition, Ido received orders for the design and implementation of glass applications. He also designed and executed more than 50 monumental fabric applications. In Dwinggelo and at the gallery IN-ART in Amsterdam he held exhibitions of steel applications, which were often given a place in government and municipal buildings and with private individuals. From 1980 a new period developed.

His great interest in people and in nature is evident in his works in oil and mixed media.
